In the official press release, MIT Technology Review and Koelnmesse, the organizers of EmTech Asia 2020 announced the postponement of the conference to August 2020 because of Novel Coronavirus, or 2019-nCoV. The decision was made after Singapore’s Ministry of Health issued the Code Orange alert, which means that the virus has a high impact on public health.

“As the situation pertaining to the Covid-19 is constantly evolving, heightened travel restrictions across the Asia Pacific have meant that postponing the conference is appropriate, as maintaining the health and well-being of each person attending EmTech Asia is our top priority,”

Mathias Kuepper, Managing Director of Koenmesse Pte Ltd via press release.

EmTech Asia, annual emerging technology conference and convention, will be held in Singapore, 4-5 August 2020, instead of 25-26 February 2020.
