Epic Games to Raise $750 Million

Unreal Engine creator Epic Games is getting close to raising $750 million, GamesBeat and Bloomberg report.

The new deal would give Epic a pre-money valuation of $16.3 billion and a post-money valuation of $17 billion. Bloomberg states that new investors funding in this round are T. Rowe Price Group and Baillie Gifford. KKR & Co. is also said to participate.

In 2019, Epic Games generated $4.2 billion in revenue and $730 million in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization. The forecast for 2020 is $5 billion in revenue with EBITDA of $1 billion.

The company has previously raised $1.6 billion, including $1.25 billion they got in 2018.
