Vision VR/AR Summit welcomes its new keynote speaker – British narrative designer Alex McDowell, who worked on “The Lawnmower Man”, “Man of Steel”, “Fight Club  & “Watchmen”.

Vision VR/AR Summit 2016 is a cross-industry event geared towards furthering the knowledge base of anyone developing virtual or augmented reality content. The event will take place February 10-11 in Hollywood, CA. There will be a lot of technology & business people, willing to communicate and discuss their upcoming project. There will be more than 40 sessions, which cover the latest technologies and VR-projects.

Having Alex McDowell on the speaker list is definitely a huge reason to visit Vision VR/AR Summit. Just read a little abstract from his Wikipedia page and you’ll get the picture:

McDowell is a designer working in narrative media. He is a strong advocate of world building and immersive design and integrates digital technology and traditional design technique in his work. He has created a holistic design process that incorporates ideation, inception, prototyping, and production for tangible story worlds.

This guy worked on hell of a lot of very cool movies, including Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009), Rise of the Guardians (2012) Man of Steel (2013), Watchmen (2009), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) & cult classic The Crow (1994). he probably knows more about world-building that so many of modern environment artists.
