The game, first announced in 2015, reemerges, showing impressive reimagining of a popular story.

Final Fantasy VII is arguably one of the most beloved JRPG in history. When Sony Computer Entertainment first announced the game during E3 2015, the fans were almost crying with joy. However, during the last 4 years little was actually known about the game. Thankfully today, Sony released the first teaser trailer, which shows some story and gameplay.

The game is currently bing developed by Square Enix. Kotaku reported that the game was originally envisioned as an episodic project. The first trailer features events from the first act of the game, so this might still be true. The game features a new battle system, some new abilities and so on.

Here’s the Japanese version of the video:

Needless to say that Final Fantasy VII Remake looks absolutely glorious. The project is based on Unreal Engine 4. Sadly, Square Enix did not use Blair’s amazing Tiffa model!

Female Character Production by Blair Armitage

Here’s the original announcement from 2015.
