FinalFluid Public Beta Announced

You can now try the new real-time fire and smoke simulation plug-in for 3ds Max.

Cebas announced a free public beta for finalFluid – a new real-time fire and smoke simulation plug-in for 3ds Max.

finalFluid is an NVIDIA GPU-based "dynamic Eulerian fluid simulation system, used to create advanced smoke and fire effects, leveraging a Sparse Voxel Grid within an unbounded simulation domain."

Cebas claims finalFluid's solver removes the restrictions other solvers face by allocating simulation blocks in a dynamic way to make it only use memory in active regions of interest.

The plug-in requires DX12, Windows 10, an NVIDIA GTX graphics card with a minimum of 4GB, 3ds Max 2022/2021/2020, and enough space to write the simulation data cache on.
