Stef Velzeboer has decided to share a free ceiling ornament for Substance Designer 6. It is the artist’s first experiment with the latest version of Allegorithmic’s solution, but the final result looks great.
It was my first time trying Substance Designer 6, so I may have pushed the values with the curve node a little too far here and there, but it was just too much fun to play with. It’s 100% procedural and rendered in Unreal Engine 4. There’s no geo used, I used Parallax Occlusion to get the height to show up nicely. Decided to make this one a free download, hopefully some people will get to learn from it! It’s not really reusable or versatile in any way, but feel free to use it in whatever way you like.
