The creators of gamedev podcast Brandon Pham and Larry Charles will be sharing their amazing podcast with 80.lv community.
Last week I had an opportunity to have a chat with Brandon Pham and Larry Charles, who are running a very interesting podcast Gamedev Unchained. Unlike many other gamedev-related media projects, this one provides a really neat behind the scenes look at what game production really is. Both Brandon and Larry are game developers, located here in LA area. They’ve worked on different games (big and small) contributed to education and have a lot of connections in the local development community.
Gamedev Unchained has been going for over the year, but this duo has already managed to record talks with Deon Carrico, Chris Tilton, Yury Nedelin, Johan Bernhardsson and surprisingly Kirill Tokarev. You can listen to the history of 80.lv in this podcast.
Anyway. In the upcoming posts, which we hope to publish weekly, we’ll be featuring new episodes of Gamedev Unchained and talk with their guests. Some of our guests will also appear on the podcast (so it works both ways). We’re looking forward to publishing our talk with Richard Lico, who worked on Bungie’s Destiny as an animator.
