The GameNode team has announced the first ever hackathon to be held in Belarus, dedicated to the development of blockchain games.
The first blockchain games hackathon was held in Moscow back in July jointly by Expload and Mail.Ru Games Ventures. The event was attended by over 30 teams from Russia and the CIS who were developing a blockchain game prototype using Expload SDK. The winners were granted cash rewards and received support from the leading industry experts.
The hackathon evoked a keen interest among developers, and the GameNode team has already announced the next event to take place in Minsk on November 16 – 18. The Moscow hackathon was participated by several teams from Belarus — Minsk is known for its strong IT community.
The IMAGURU startup hub will bring together programmers, game designers, artists, analysts and blockchain developers who will be challenged to create a decentralized game prototype in a non-stop mode within a span of 48 hours. The contestants must use Expload SDK as a tool to integrate blockchain with their games. The prize pool totals 44 ETH and will be distributed among several nominations: Best Game (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place), Best Blockchain Solution for Games, Most Organic Blockchain Integration into a Pre-Existing Game, and Best Game Design.
