Ghost of Tsushima Sales Hit 8 Million Copies

Sucker Punch announced that Ghost of Tsushima has surpassed the milestone of 8 million sales.

The Sucker Punch Productions – the studio owned by Sony Interactive Entertainment – announced on Twitter that its action-adventure game Ghost of Tsushima has now sold more than eight million copies globally.

The previous success of the game was reported in March 2021, when the film adaptation was announced – by that time Ghost of Tsushima had sold over 6.5 million copies worldwide. You can find more about the adaptation here. The remarkable sales update reflects another 1.5 units sold since then, with the recent Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut definite contribution to that.

Sucker Punch thanked the players for the support, saying that they were "thrilled and amazed" by the number of sales.

The game was first released in July 2020 on PS4, and in August 2021, it also appeared on PS5 with Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, where it comes with console-specific improvements and some new gameplay features, along with a new narrative adventure.
