Halo Infinite Delayed to 2021

Microsoft and 343 Industries decided to delay the launch of Halo Infinite to 2021.

343 Industries noted that one of the reasons for the delay is the ongoing coronavirus pandemic which made it difficult to develop large games. The studio faced criticism after a recent reveal of Halo Infinite gameplay, so it appears that they decided to take more time to make the game look right.

“We have made the difficult decision to shift our release to 2021 to ensure the team has adequate time to deliver a Halo game experience that meets our vision,” wrote the team. “The decision to shift our release is the result of multiple factors that have contributed to development challenges, including the ongoing COVID-related impacts affecting us all this year."

What do you think about the delay? How will it affect the launch of the new Xbox?
