Halo Infinite's Visuals Will Be Improved

343 Industries shared a community update addressing criticism after the Halo Infinite reveal.

Among other things like multiplayer and story, the team addressed visual fidelity. They got some negative feedback from players and journalists after the reveal and they plan to improve visuals. People noticed that characters and objects look simplistic and lighting feels flat, so they do understand that they still have work to do to improve all these areas.

"The build used to run the campaign demo was work-in-progress from several weeks ago with a variety of graphical elements and game systems still being finished and polished," wrote the team. "While some of the feedback was expected and speaks to areas already in progress, other aspects of the feedback have brought new opportunities and considerations to light that the team is taking very seriously and working to assess."

In the end, the studio wants to deliver a beautiful world for players to explore when the game launches. What do you think about the recent reveal trailer? What would you like the team to improve?

It looks good, but it just doesn't live up to the brand that Bungie created. The series has been lacking for awhile, we all know it. I hope this is a wake-up call for much of the industry really. One thing that really stood out  for me was the animals running through the grass, and the grass not reacting. I mean, this is 2020, and this is a HALO game!
