Hardsuit Labs Employees Report Layoffs

It appears that the studio is releasing its members after a recent announcement about Bloodlines 2.

Layoffs are reportedly happening at Hardsuit Labs following after the team got replaced as the developer of Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2.

Several employees from the Seattle studio revealed on Twitter they were laid off. Writer and narrative designer Anna C. Webster said that she was released "alongside the rest of the narrative department (and many others)."

Narrative designer Nicole Stanford has also confirmed the news saying that "the entire narrative team including herself were affected."

Previously, publisher Paradox Interactive revealed that they decided to replace Hardsuit Labs as the developer of Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2. They have also announced that the game will not come out in 2021.

    I have a really hard time believing this game will survive all of this and still come out as a game worth playing. As a project manager, I see this as one big escalation of commitment/sunk cost fallacy situation and it's just a mess.
