Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft was released March 11, 2014. In just a little over a year, they have reached 30 million players making it a huge success for Blizzard Entertainment.

An official announcement has been made by Hearthstone’s  official Twitter channel saying that 30 million people have now joined the game. This significant event was achieved directly following the release of the Blackrock Mountain expansion and Hearthstone’s arrival onto iOS and Android.

Although Hearthstone is a free-to-play game and there isn’t any revenue coming from the installation of the game itself, Blizzard is definitely ecstatic about their growth in users. From September 2014 until now, there has been a jump from 20 million players to 30 million. That is very impressive.

According to App Annie, Hearthstone has consistently found itself close to the number one spot in the top-grossing charts on Google Play and iTunes. In the past year Hearthstone has raked in an estimated $250 million in revenue in the past year.
