Houdini-Based Building Tool for Unreal

The team of EXE Collective has recently presented their cool house-building tool set up in Houdini.

The team created this tool in Houdini to make buildings quickly. They needed to populate a city for a side project they're working on.

The tool is said to be based on sets of assets: walls, fences, pillars, and other details that help artists generate different-looking buildings.

"To create a building, a curve is drawn on a grid to shape the first floor, then upper floors can be added. They can be duplicated or edited separately by clamping the curve start and endpoint position or extruding the walls," wrote the team.
