SideFX announced that Houdini Engine for Unity and UE4 is now available for free for commercial use.
The plugin allows artists to use tools and assets made in Houdini in the game engines even if artists don’t have any Houdini experience. Houdini Engine focuses on the processing work on the assets and brings back the results to the game editor. The assets work within the editor and go into the baking stage before going to runtime.
Houdini Digital Assets have become an indispensable part of our content creation pipeline. Being able to use them in our game editor for free studio-wide is a real game-changer.

The UE4 plugin was recently enhanced with redesigned core architecture, modularity, and less weight as well got the new interface, support for world composition, and blueprint support.
