If you're in Toronto or planning to be there soon, there's still time to join the new SideFX event, Houdini HIVE Equinox. This special multi-day gathering takes place September 23 to 25, 2025, at the 1 King Street West Hotel in downtown Toronto, and features IGNITE workshops, HIVE presentations, and exciting social events.
From industry outlooks and Houdini's ongoing evolution to production highlights and expert-led learning opportunities, including insights into the making of the Game of Thrones: War for Westeros trailer, Moana 2, or the transition away from Maya-based workflows, there's a lot to explore. You can also participate in hands-on Houdini experiences through IGNITE workshops, which offer a wide range of topics. These include character creation, cloth simulation, Pyro FX, rigging, car crash simulation, Copernicus, Solaris and Karma, and others. Each one is labeled with the required skill level to help you choose the right fit.
All of these are live and won't be streamed online, so please ensure you can attend in Toronto before registering. HIVE presentations, however, will be recorded and made available online after the event.
