Weta Workshop crew provide manufacturing for creative industries and TV for over 20 years. They made a special suit for the new sci-fi film – I Am Mother.

I Am Mother is the anticipated sci-fi film being streamed on Netflix now. Mother is not a prop, dummy or even a CGI character. It’s a sophisticated robot suit worn by a real actor. The suit made of more than 300 pieces including LED lights, animatronics, 3D printing, model-made elements takes 45-60 minutes to be put on a human.
The team already won 38 awards, 5 Oscars and 4 BAFTAs for their amazing work. One of their recent projects are: I Am Mother, Thor: Ragnarok, Blade Runner 2049, Pacific Rim: Uprising.
