Those animations look amazing!! Great job!
Very cool review of the making of Spellbreak. Would be even more cool to see some videos inside UE4 showing how they do a few very specific things unique to them.
This was so helpful for me. I'm hoping to adapt your tutorial to pull off something similar comparing modern satellite imagery with historical maps. No topo, so my steps should be simpler, but I'm a novice with Blender and you've really helped. Thanks!
NatureManufacture is doing a little sale on Ice World pack of materials. It’s a great set of pieces if you want to go ‘beyond the wall’.
Bartłomiej Galas (the technical mastermind behind NatureManufacture) announced that they are currently making a nice little sale on Ice World. This is a wonderful opportunity to pick up this library of ice materials. The content will allow you to cover lakes, rivers or use the materials in some other environment elements. The cool thing is that it tiles beautifully and looks absolutely outstanding.
With this material you are able to control depth, blending with objects, transparency, noise and all of the other parameters. You can also combine all these elements with other materials like stuff from the Infinity Blade winter free pack.
– 91 ice material instances
– 5 ice materials (lakes, rivers and lit for models)
– 65 ice textures 2048×2048
– snow material
– 3 snow textures 2048×2048
