Incredible Weave Generator Powered By Blender's Geometry Nodes
Michael Vedeler is working on a tutorial explaining the system.
This is an absolutely impressive setup that left many people stunned, and as Michael Vedeler admitted, one of the most complex projects he has worked on so far. It originally began as a small side project within a larger project, but eventually grew into a fully developed and reusable asset.
Michael also shared that he isn't a weaver, quite the opposite, in fact, but to build the tool, he had to do some research into weaving, giving him a basic understanding of the craft. The artist is now working on a full explanation of the system, likely in video form, and has shared the nodes as a preview:

Blender 5.2 LTS is now in beta, featuring experimental Geometry Nodes physics for hair and cloth simulation, a new Thin Wall rendering mode, and other updates. Pau Homs has also released a video tutorial on the new Paint Filter node, which can turn renders into painterly images.
