Grab a chance to showcase your game at IGF during Game Developers Conference.
Informa Tech, organizers of GDC, announced the opening of submissions for the Independent Game Festival contest. The festival will have 8 awards:
- Seumas McNally Grand Prize
- Excellence in Visual Art
- Excellence in Audio
- Excellence in Design
- Excellence in Narrative
- Nuovo Award
- Best Student Game
- Audience Award
Judges will choose 6 finalists from each award except for Nuovo Award, where 8 finalists will be chosen. All finalists will receive free show passes to see the award ceremony during GDC 2021, where their games will be shown.
The team of judges represents various areas of the game industry and includes representatives from the mainstream game industry, previous IGF winners and finalists, indie game developers, journalists.
The submissions are open until February 1, 2021. Finalists will be announced in May 2021, and the ceremony will take place during GDC 2021, on July 21, 2021. See the requirements for submission and entry fee policy on the official website.
