Intel's Xe Super Sampling Upscaler Released

XeSS has been published on GitHub for developers to implement in their games.

On top of launching the new 13th Gen Intel Core processor family, the company also released Xe Super Sampling (XeSS), Intel's framerate-boosting technology that utilizes AI-based upscaling to provide higher framerates without degrading the image. Supported by Intel Arc GPUs, as well as those by NVIDIA and AMD, XeSS provides several different upscaling options, ranging from maximum detail to maximum speed, depending on your needs. According to the team, the technology was created with gamers in mind and will take your gaming experience to the next level.

Back in March, at GDC 2022, Intel also showcased the effects XeSS has on visuals, demonstrating how the technology can be used to upgrade the gaming experiense.
