International Exhibition-Contest 'The Art of 3D Graphics'

In the autumn of 2020, winners of ‘The Art of 3D Graphics’ competition will see their artwork displayed in an exhibition at the palatial State Russian Museum in St.Petersburg, Russia.

The Art of 3D Graphics competition is a landmark event in the history of the Russian art world. For one, it is the first time Russia will host an international art event highlighting three-dimensional graphics. In addition, it will be one of the main events to be held during the 125th anniversary year of the founding of the State Russian Museum, which holds one of the country’s largest collections of art.

3D graphic artists from around the world are invited to register for the competition until April 30, 2020. Participation is free of charge and is open to both established and aspiring artists of any age. They can register in the categories of architecture, characters, vehicles, animals, advertising, art, the environment or miscellany. The jury includes renowned international art professionals such as Joseph Kiblitsky (Russian Museum), Ralph Huchtemann (RebusFarm), Roman Tsapik (Render.ru), Jeff Mottle (CGarchitect), Manny Fragelus (CGSociety), Vasilis Koutlis (VWArtclub), Arseny Korablyov (Teya Conceptor), and Zacharias Reinhardt (CG Boost).

The winning artist’s work will be exhibited in the museum’s opulent Marble Palace. In addition, it will be included in an exhibition catalogue. Art expert Evgenia Petrova, Deputy Director for Academic Research at the Russian Museum, confirmed the institute’s support of The Art of 3D Graphics. She said, “We can now safely say that 3D graphics have become part of international visual art. But for the first time, individual artists, groups of artists, and multimedia companies will present their work in a state museum. We are ready to further popularize this art form in every way possible and to become pioneers of a sort in the museum world.” The Russian Museum, with the support of RebusFarm, one of the leading render farms in the industry, plans to develop The Art of 3D Graphics as a recurring event.
