The update adds GPU acceleration and changes the tool's interface to be similar to the company's EmberGen.
JangaFX has released Game Texture Viewer 2.0, the latest version of the tool for previewing textures and sprite sheet animations.
The free tool now has GPU acceleration to improve interactive performance and a new interface to be similar to the company's EmberGen.
Game Texture Viewer supports TIF, TGA, JPG, PNG, BMP, PSD, and EXR files and automatically splits sprite sheets with convenient names.
You can toggle between the original sprite sheet and the animation, choosing to display it on a transparent or colored background or only to show selected image channels.
When you find the texture you've been looking for, just drag and drop it from GTV to a popular game engine, like Unity or Unreal Engine.
Game Texture Viewer is available for free on Windows. Download it here.
