Kinetix Partnered With Adobe's Mixamo and Released an Update

Kinetix 1.4 supports hand capture, half-body recognition, includes over 40 3D characters and motions from Adobe’s Mixamo library, and now offers its features for free.

Kinetix – a tool that can create animations from videos of an actor – announced it was joining forces with Adobe's Mixamo "to make AI-assisted 3D animation more accessible to all content creators." The tool also got an update that makes it free and introduces new features.

Kinetix 1.4 offers:

  • half-body recognition
  • hand movement support
  • 40+ new characters and animations from Mixamo's library
  • storage for your clips
  • XR export
  • performance and UX improvements

The most important change is that Kinetix is now free. It's still in advanced beta, but with help from Adobe, it will probably be fully released sooner than thought before.
