Koei Tecmo Is Reportedly Working on an Original IP with EA

Jeff Grubb believes we'll hear about it soon.

Koei Tecmo, the company behind Fire Emblem, Dead or Alive, and Nioh, is reportedly working on a game with Electronic Arts. A Discord user found some references to a game codenamed "B OHNI" in EA's Origin API, which apparently comes from Koei Tecmo and EA.

Later, Jeff Grubb confirmed that the companies are partnering to make a new title, and it is a completely new IP, which we'll probably hear more about next month.

"It's real. I can confirm that, yes, Koei Tecmo is working with EA on a partner game. And where does your mind first go when you hear Koei Tecmo and EA? They're probably going to make a musou, right? Like a Mass Effect musou or something like that? Well, it's not any of that, it's going to be a brand-new IP. That's all I know so far. I think that's okay because I don't think we're going to have to wait long. I think we're going to hear about this game next month."

Hopefully, we'll find out what the companies have in mind soon. What do you expect from this partnership? Share your ideas and don't forget to join our Reddit page and our Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
