Kris Costa, an artist at ILM, has reached a new level of photorealism in 3D. The artist has shared a WIP shot behind a larger project he’s working on. Just an eye and a part of a face, but this image will blow you away. Kris has used Arnold, Maya, ZBrush and Photoshop to create this piece.

WIP, part of a larger project currently in development. Still needs work, but good enough to be shared. No scans or photos used. Everything you see was hand painted and hand sculpted.
