Afterparty launched their Web3 platform to enable creators to build community through unique NFT collectibles.
Afterparty announced the release of their new Web3-powered platform that enables creators to launch their own Non-Fungible Tokens to generate more revenue. This is done as a plan of Afterparty's plan to enable a “creator economy,” a plan that would enable live streamers, YouTube artists, and other social media entertainers to generate more money, even if they do not have a massive internet presence. This may be especially useful for those media entertainers who reside in areas where YouTube and Twitch partner programs generate less money.
The L.A.-based company is creating a decentralized platform, using Web3 technologies, to provide creators with the tools to monetize and manage their fan relationships, deliver live virtual experiences, and sell digital merchandise. Creators can mint and launch their own NFTs on the platform. And in contrast with Web 2.0 technologies like Instagram, the bulk of the revenue on the decentralized web goes to the creators, according to Afterparty.
“The true value for creator NFTs is going to be built through ongoing engagement between creators and supporters – this comes after the NFT or token sale,” said David Fields, co-founder and CEO of Afterparty. “Until now, creators haven’t had the tools they need to effectively build and manage this ongoing dialogue, with other platforms putting the burden solely on creators to develop the entire fan experience from scratch. Afterparty is building on the Web3 monetization infrastructure of NFTs and social tokens to align interests of creators and fans in a completely new way.”
