Thanks, Allar! Good luck with your new project!
Who just carries around $250.000 worth of files on a portable hardrive without any backups.. The bug is stupid, but this guy is a moron.
Michael Allar here. Thanks a bunch for posting this, I really appreciate it. I'm also the guy who wrote that Confessions article that was posted here on 80.lvl as well.
If you are looking for new easy to use tool to take your scenes to the next level, check out LIghtMixer. It’s a nice small plug-in from American company UtopiaWorx, that specializes in assets creation. The greatest thing is that the tool is absolutely free for download and use.
With this tool you can point and click your way into a beautifully lit scene in minutes. LightMixer ships with an easy to use Editor Extension, that lets you click on the settings you need all in 1 place. With this tool you can use Point Lights, Spotlights, Cookies, CubeMaps, Shadows, Tri-Color cookie effects, Animations, Rotations, Pulsations. The packages come with over 106 FREE Cookies and 14 FREE Cubemaps to use with your lights.
You can download this editor for Windows and OSX. Quite a nice little tool for game developers, trying to work with lighting. It’s not the newest middleware out there, but it’s worth having a look at.
LightMixer and Utopia9 are different things. This article makes it seem like they are included with each other and they are not. Light Mixer is a free stand alone tool, and Utopia 9 has a BASIC LightMixer version inside it
