Lords of the Fallen's Publisher Lays Off 10% of Employees

The affected employees include developers from Hexworks and Underdog studios.

According to the latest reports, CI Games, the publisher of Lords of the Fallen, which was released back in October 2023, has fired around 10% of its staff in order to "preserve business strength and stability."

CI Games has reportedly laid off most of the marketing team, as well as staff from Hexworks and Underdog that were also affected.

"To preserve business strength and stability, CI Games has made the tough but necessary decision to implement a targeted round of redundancies, affecting approximately 10% of employees across the company," shared CI Games' CEO Marek TymiƄski with GamesIndustry.biz.

Speaking of Lords of the Fallen, as CI Games previously stated, the game is the publisher's most expensive game. The title was released on October 13, 2023, and within 10 days since its launch, it hit over 1 million units sold.

As for now, CI Games is joining the list of studios laying off their staff. Earlier this year, the job cuts took place in Twitch, GoogleYouTube, Pixar, and Duolingo.
