Lost Ark Hits 20 Million Global Players

The number of Lost Ark players has reached 20 million with over half of it coming from the game's global release.

Amazon Games and Smilegate have announced that the number of Lost Ark global players has surpassed 20 million.

According to the press release, the free-to-play MMO gained over 4.7 million new users within just the first three days after launching in the western market. The companies noted that now more than 10 million users come from North America, Europe, South America, and Australia.

Lost Ark was first launched in South Korea in 2019 and was said to have millions of players across three countries also including Russia and Japan. Due to its release in the West, the title has become one of the most popular online games. With over 1.3 concurrent players on Steam, the game surpassed Counter-Strike: Global Offensive's record and took the second spot following just PUBG: Battlegrounds.

"Overall, the excitement surrounding Lost Ark from around the world is quickly gaining steam, as evidenced by the growing number of global players," shared Amazon Games vice president Christoph Hartmann. "Together with Smilegate, we are committed to supporting the growing community with a robust roadmap of updates in the years to come."

Lost Ark's western version doesn't yet have everything that's included in the Korean one. However, developers claim that more additions like more storyline and endgame activities are going to come out soon.
