Circana has shared a list of best-selling games in the US in August. Madden NFL 24 managed to come up on top in the two weeks it was out, but Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon took second place even though it was released a day before the period closed on August 26.

You might have expected to see Baldur's Gate 3 here, but Larian Studios hasn't shared its sales yet, so you may have to wait until the game's out on Xbox, sometime before the end of November.
Circana also revealed that consumer spending on games increased by 3% year-over-year to $4.2 billion. Players spent 4$ more on content and 12% more on accessories. On the other hand, hardware sales saw a 13% year-over-year decline. PlayStation 5 is still the most popular console, with Xbox Series X|S following.
As for mobile spending, it increased by 2.5% year-on-year, with Monopoly Go crowning the chart.
