Magic Leap 2, an augmented reality headset, got a commercial release date and pricing.
There are three editions to the device:
Magic Leap 2 is described as one of the AR industry’s smallest and lightest devices built for enterprise use. The developers promise "best-in-class image quality, color fidelity, and text legibility." The device provides up to 70° diagonal field of view, dynamic dimming, and, of course, the ability "to see, hear, and touch digital content in the physical world."
The headset offers 2.5M pixels per eye, 120Hz refresh rate, over 16.8mcolors supported, a 12.6M pixel autofocus RGB camera with 4k resolution at 30fps or 1920 x 1080 at 60fps, and 256GB memory. It sports AMD 7nm Quad-core Zen 2 X86 core and a battery that can handle 3.5 hours of continuous use.
Magic Leap 2 will be available in U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy Spain, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on September 30. Find out more about the device here.
