Manor Lords Players Vote Against Changing Character's "Inappropriate" (But Actually Appropriate) Name

Cuntz is here to stay.

There are many fine names in Manor Lords, but none are as great as Cuntz. Players love Cuntz, whoever he might be in their game – a builder, a baker, or even an ox – but maybe a joke went too far?

Cuntz, short for Konrad, is one of the names in Manor Lords generated by the game. While looking slightly inappropriate, it is actually a real name taken from a 14th-century Holy Roman Empire census.

But even if not, I'm sure players would be happy to swallow one historical inaccuracy for the sake of Cuntz. Everybody wants their own Cuntz, Cuntz is everywhere, Cuntz is life, and this might be a problem. The name has become a local meme, and the jokes are a bit overused, at least in some people's opinions.

So the developer started a Discord poll (thanks, PC Gamer) asking if Cuntz should be replaced by something more ordinary, like Konrad. If you are among Cuntz haters, you'll be disappointed: 85% of participants (almost 7,000 people) voted against the change. So Cuntz it's here to stay.
