Maxime Beland Returns to Ubisoft

The team welcomed back its former talent.

Former Splinter Cell creative director Maxime Beland will return to Ubisoft after a year at Epic Games, VGC reports.

The creative director has reportedly joined the company’s reorganized editorial team to help them make a more varied games line-up.

Beland spent over 20 years at Ubisoft, working as lead designer and creative director for 2006’s Rainbow Six: Vegas, and as a game design director for the original Assassin’s Creed. He was also a creative director for two Splinter Cell titles: 2010’s Conviction and 2012’s Blacklist, and contributed as a creative director for Far Cry 4, Far Cry 5 and Far Cry Primal.

Beland will now be a vice president for Ubisoft’s influential editorial team that helps guide games across the company.
