Get CGMatter's custom fluid solver with special features.
Created by CGMatter, Melt Simulator is a whole mini fluid engine designed specifically for simulating the melting of objects and producing realistic sand, liquid, or gooey textures.
The simulator includes three primary modes, each serving different purposes:
- Particles, the actual particles used in the simulation;
- Instances, instances small cubes on every point (sometimes necessary for Cycles);
- Mesh, a "skin" of the particle system.
There's also experimental UV advection support, allowing the original UV coordinates to be preserved even as the object deforms. This works best with high-resolution simulations for more accurate results.
Unlike Blender's native fluid simulation, Melt Simulator lets you trigger melting over time using activator objects:
Melt Simulator is compatible with Blender 4.3 or newer and is available as part of Genie, which also includes Pencil Pro, another CGMatter's great tool designed for achieving a hand-drawn look.
