Nefertiti Recreated in 3D With Blender, UE5 & Metahuman

The artist utilized 3D scans of Nefertiti's bust to create the digital version of her.

3D Artist and Game Developer Jason Bennett demonstrated a mind-blowing digital version of Nefertiti, the well-known historical figure and the queen of Ancient Egypt. According to the artist, the goal of the project was to test out Metahuman's tools and learn what the software is capable of.

To create the digital Nefertiti, the author utilized 3D scans of her bust, provided by the Berlin Egyptian Museum. The scans were cleaned up in Blender and then imported into Unreal Engine 5 and Metahuman to generate a Metahuman mesh and further refine it. The digital version of the queen looks incredibly realistic and is extremely close to being an accurate representation of what she looked like.
