Nintendo Has One of the Highest Employee Retention Rates in Japan

98.8% compared to the national average of 70%.

An insightful report has recently surfaced on the Internet, shedding some light on Japan's employee retention rates and highlighting Nintendo, the renowned video game developer, publisher, and console manufacturer, as one of the most desirable companies to work for in the Land of the Rising Sun.

As reported by Business Journal Japan (via GoNintendo), Nintendo boasts an impressive employee retention rate of 98.8%, meaning that out of every 100 new employees the company hires, only one chooses to leave. The figure becomes even more remarkable when compared to Japan's national average, which, according to the same report, stands at around 70%.

The report cites various reasons for this outstanding result, including Nintendo's strong brand reputation, a limited number of new hires, an attractive paid leave package, a notable childcare program, and an overall positive work atmosphere and corporate culture at Nintendo.
