NVIDIA Launches GeForce RTX 3080 12GB

The new model is sold by select partners and offers 2GB more memory than the original RTX 3080 10GB.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 12GB is an improved version of 10GB RTX 3080. The new model includes 8960 CUDA cores while the original version has 8704. It also has 70 RT cores and 280 Tensor cores. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 1260 MHz, which can be boosted up to 1710 MHz.

This model got 12 GB GDDR6X memory running at 1188 MHz (19 Gbps effective), a 384-bit memory bus, and a 912.4 GB/s bandwidth. The RTX 3080 12GB draws 350W, which is 30W more than the 10GB model. Its outputs include one HDMI and three DisplayPorts.

You can already purchase the card from select NVIDIA partners, the price for the RTX 3080 12GB varies. For example, EVGA has priced its own RTX 3080 at $1,249.99.
