NVIDIA Says Chip Supply Will Improve in the Second Half of the Year

NVIDIA claimed that chip supply will improve, and the corporation will be better off in filling the orders it’s been getting over the last six months.

NVIDIA outsources its production like many other chipmakers, and currently they have difficulties with granting enough access to supply to satisfy the demand. Nevertheless, the company is striving to establish a process of manufacturing, according to Chief Financial Officer Colette Kress. The company has made long-term supply commitments to the considerable amount of $6.9bn to secure a greater chip supply for the 2022 callendar year.

At the J.P. Morgan Tech/Auto Conference, Kress assumed that despite “demand has exceeded supply primarily in [the] gaming business”, in the second part of this year the company will "be in great shape in terms of supply". She also added that this holiday season was characterized by good revenue.

Demand for video cards keeps being fueled by the cryptocurrency market. However, NVIDIA management declares that this factor does not have a significant impact on the company's business. In order to separate target audiences into two segments, the company offers players LHR series video cards with artificially limited performance when mining cryptocurrencies and professional miners have the opportunity to purchase specialized CMP accelerators.

If this lowers costs to make them affordable then without needing a bank loan, good.  Else it's meaningless news.
