The database has tagged and you can search to find anything, from animal sounds to a drilling and milling machine operating with occasional pauses. The new library covers most of the BBC’s lifespan, with effects going back to the 1920s.
“These 16,000 BBC Sound Effects are made available by the BBC in WAV format to download for use under the terms of the RemArc Licence,” states the website. “The Sound Effects are BBC copyright, but they may be used for personal, educational or research purposes, as detailed in the license.”
