In celebration of the Festival's 7th Season as an industry-recognized event, submission fees will be waived through May 30, 2023.
The Overcome Film Festival is the premier international event for all storytellers, filmmakers, developers, and artists to tell the world their stories of survival and triumph over adversity. The festival will be held on October, 23-29.
The official program will include Features and Short Films, Music, and Games in multiple award categories including the Overcome Game Awards.
The festival aims to provide a platform for survivors to share their life experiences, give them a voice, and offer hope to others, regardless of their background. This season's video game competition section is open to games in all related genres, including single-player, multiplayer, and mobile titles across all major platforms. All games submitted should align with the theme of the event.
The Awards of the Overcome Film Festival honor the cinematic and storytelling achievements of filmmakers, musicians, and developers around the world who collaborate and apply the unique power of the medium to share and raise the voices of hope. The Official Selections of the program include films, music, and games whose excellence brings this message to life on screen while additionally awarding special category winners for the standouts of the season. The Overcome Film Festival will publish the names of the winners online and certificates will be awarded. As the festival is about providing a voice to survivors, financial awards and prizes will be foregone in lieu of award certificates.

The organizers also announced The Chainsaw Game and Music Festival which will be held on December, 17-18. The program will contain the best games of each genre including platforms for desktop, console, mobile, and virtual reality, as well as music, music videos, game music, film music, and soundtracks as the top Award categories including - Best Game, Best Game Narrative, Best Game Music, Best Game Audio, Best Film Soundtrack, Best Music Video, and Best Director.
The Chainsaw Game and Music Festival especially encourages and welcomes entries from artists, developers, and professionals from all over the world who want to share their unique perspectives into personal audience experiences. The focus of the festival is to take audiences to new worlds from the minds of the world's best creatives.
