Paradox Interactive Opens a New Publishing Branch, Paradox Arc

The new publishing branch will focus on highlighting games from smaller development teams.

Publisher Paradox Interactive has announced its new publishing initiative named Paradox Arc.

Paradox broke the news on Twitter saying that the new publishing branch will focus on bringing "deep, endless, and replayable games from smaller development teams to our existing audience and the world."

The new initiative will be led by Sebastian Forsström who previously served as an executive producer at Paradox Interactive. According to him, the main goal of Paradox Arc will be to "surprise players with games they might not have known they needed to play."

The publisher also revealed the debut title, a co-op RPG deck-building roguelite Across the Obelisk developed by Dreamsite Games. The game was in Early Access on Steam for a year and is out now.

"We’re publishing the kind of games that suddenly appear atop your 'Most Played' list. I can say from direct experience that Across the Obelisk fits this mold perfectly and I don’t think we could have asked for a better game for our premiere," Forsström said. "I’m looking forward to sharing more Paradox Arc titles with everyone soon – and to inviting more developers to work with us."

According to Paradox Arc's website, the publishing branch is also planning to release two more games in the near future, however, the names of these titles haven't been revealed yet.
