Adobe has finally launched its long-awaited Photoshop for iPad app.

Photoshop desktop users can now open and edit PSDs right on their tablet devices. The app provides the ability to see and edit layered documents and access key Adobe tools with touch gestures.

It features the standard Photoshop toolbar on the left and an interface for layers on the right, optimized for a touch interface. The release comes with built-in tours and video tutorials. so you will master the iPad version in no time.

The version was designed with touch and mobility in mind, it's all about the same code base, so don't worry about conversions, compressions, or importing or exporting.

Adobe has also updated cloud documents to support the PSD format, so you can now work with PSDs on different platforms. Your works on ‌iPad‌ will be automatically saved to the cloud as a PSD file via the new cloud documents feature.

The first version of Photoshop for ‌iPad‌ focuses on top workflows, compositing, and masking and retouching, and Adobe wants to add more features in the future.
