Playdead’s Former CEO Reveals Somerville

A developer of Inside and Limbo and a film animator Chris Olsen have been working on a 2D side-scroller for the past three years.

Dino Patti, Playdead’s former CEO and co-founder and a developer of Inside and Limbo, that his Guildford-based studio Jumpship is working on a “sci-fi action adventure” called Somerville. He and film animator Chris Olsen (Skyfall, The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron, Heavenly Sword) have been working on the 2D side-scroller for the past three years.

Olsen described Somerville as “a sci-fi action adventure that chronicles the lives of key individuals in the wake of a global catastrophe.” Their studio is hiring right now, so you can join the production.

The game is obviously in its early stages as it might take years to finish such an ambitious project with a small team. You can find more details on the production process here. And here’s how the game looked a year ago:
