It appears that PlayStation hired Apple Arcade content boss Nicola Sebastiani to lead the mobile team at PlayStation studios.
VGC noticed that Sebastiani’s LinkedIn profile states the former Apple Arcade boss is now leading the team as head of mobile. The LinkedIn page says he has been working as "vice president, head of mobile" at the company since July 2021. Previously, Sebastiani worked as head of content at Apple Arcade for nearly four years.
Sony announced the position back in April and it appears that the publisher is now ready to expand into the mobile market. The original job description said that the successful candidate would be responsible for "adapting PlayStation’s most popular franchises for mobile".
One month after posting the offer, Sony head Jim Ryan confirmed that Sony would like to "publish some of iconic PlayStation IP on mobile".
