Portal Designer Kim Swift Joins EA to Work on Star Wars

Studio Motive finds a new employee for a game directed by Uncharted creator Amy Hennig.

Assassin’s Creed executive producer Jade Raymond has found a new design director for EA studio Motive. Former Portal lead designer Kim Swift has joined the team to work on the still unrevealed Star Wars game that is said to be directed by Uncharted creator Amy Hennig.

Swift and Raymond will be working together with Visceral Games (another EA studio behind games like Dead Space and Battlefield: Hardline) to create new beautiful worlds for the upcoming Star Wars experience.

We’ve devoted much of the past year at Motive to building a team of amazingly talented people to work on our new IP and Star Wars projects. I could not be more excited to welcome an all-star like Kim, who shares our enthusiasm for building exceptional games.

Swift has also contributed her work to Left 4 Dead 1 & 2, Quantum Conundrum, and Soul Fjord.

A little is known about the game in development: it will probably be out in 2018, feature multiple protagonists and it will also follow the the style of Uncharted.
