Radeon ProRender 2.5 in Beta for Blender released

AMD released the new update of its GPU renderer.

AMD has released a new beta version of its renderer for Blender. Among all added features, the solution now comes with the capability of using it for ViewPort Rendering. Better support for Point and Spotlight softness parameters was also added. The update also includes fixed issues:

  • rendering animations don’t cause a memory leak and eventual crash anymore.
  • scene sync and render times are now logged to the console.
  • fixed the issue with collections of objects with the same name which leads to missed objects during rendering.
  • the “generated” UV in the Texture Coordinate mode is working properly now.
