Realistic Marbles Made With Houdini & Redshift

This short video took an entire night to render with a maxed-out photon count.

3D Artist and Interactive Director at Rare Volume Robert Hodgin unveiled a new project that can easily be mistaken for a real-life video. This time, the artist has managed to create extremely-realistic glass marbles with lifelike movements and caustics using Houdini and Redshift, Maxon's GPU-accelerated renderer built for high-end production rendering. According to Robert, this short video took a whole night to render with a maxed-out photon count.
