Recreating Paris From Open Data Procedurally in 3D

SpirOps, a company focused on research and development in artificial intelligence, shared a demo of a handmade tool that generates 3D environments of real cities using open data. The tool is being developed in C++. The team wrote they will soon post a video on YouTube about this tool.

"Buildings are procedurally generated according to their footprint, height, and building year," wrote the team in a reply to one of the comments on Reddit. "Only the fountain located at the center of the square has been added manually to the 3D environment. Regarding the pedestrians and vehicles, they are powered by SpirOps AI."
