Rigging a 2D Character With Toon Boom's Harmony 21

Ben Walsh demonstrated a complex rig demo of Emperor's New Groove's Kuzco.

Rigging Lead and Instructor Ben Walsh has recently demonstrated an amazing and complex rig demo of a 2D character. According to the creator, he used Toon Boom's Harmony 21 to build a rig for Emperor's New Groove's Kuzco with envelope reformers that give a 3D feel to a 2D design.

The character himself is made with flat shapes that interpolate between 24 different key poses that can be controlled with the master controller that would load in the poses and the pose in-betweens. Ben also commented that this cool system would help animators save a lot of time generating the pose.
